My name is Ian Ong, a Secondary 4 student studying in Ngee Ann Secondary School,and I am a cybersecurity enthusiast who is aspiring to become a professional in cybersecurity. I hope that through Temasek Polytechnic's Diploma in Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics can help me achieve this goal. I intend to further my knowledge by pursuing a computer science degree at the National University of Singapore.

My Journey

My interest in computers was sparked by a simple task I was given in Secondary Two - to design a game for the elderly with a programmable touch device, which was my first foray into programming. Since then, I've been fascinated by the idea of using technology to do tasks that humans otherwise cannot do.

With that, it was only a matter of time till I discovered cybersecurity. Intrigued, I decided to dive deeper into the field, learning the basics from sites like OverTheWire. The school also selected me to participate in competitions and programs like the Sentinel Programme by MINDEF and the international CyberQuest Capture The Flag by Lockheed Martin.

I am an analytical and logical thinker, and I find new programming languages fairly easy to pick up. I developed this website in only a few days to show the reader that I have keen aptitude to further my knowledge in the field. If you are interested, you can download a text adventure game I made myself in Python. Click here to download the game.
